DESCRIPTION: Daring filmmaker Carl Denham promised to capture scenes of a creature so amazing that no one would believe it unless they saw it with their own eyes. “Kong,” he told the captain and crew of the chartered vessel, was no myth–it was real. The natives of Skull Island threatened Denham’s unwelcome entourage, that is until they saw the golden-haired Ann Darrow. She would be the next bride for Kong. The crew narrowly escaped, with Ann in tow, back to their ship. Silently in the night, the natives kidnapped the fair actress and lashed her to a sacrificial alter. Soon, their beckoning drums were drowned out by the deafening roars of an approaching beast. Behold Kong, a giant ape that must have stood more than thirty feet tall! Kong snatched up the willing Ann and retreated to his jungle lair. Denham and the ship’s crew gave chase to the giant beast while, along the way, they encountered all manner of prehistoric monsters long known to be extinct. Could the crew survive the terrors of Skull Island, find Kong and save Ann? The hunt was on as Denham and the others found themselves in the adventure of a lifetime–if they lived to tell about it.
