Part of the fifth generation of the popular F-series, the 1968 F-250 Custom Cab featured a 131 inch wheelbase, an 8 foot bed and Twin I beam front suspension. Originally introduced in 1965, Ford’s revolutionary Twin I Beam Suspension provided an independent axle for each front wheel. The 1968 F-250 also boasted Ford’s Flexomatic Rear Suspension, which made its debut in 1967. Both suspension features were designed to allow greater control and smoother driving over rough roads.
